there it is...in his formerly nicotine-stained fingers...the actual copy of the letter that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid sent to the CEO of ClearChannel asking him to spank Limbaugh about his "phony soldiers" remarks.the letter contains the signatures of Senators Clinton, Obama, Biden, Dodd (all of the presidential candidates)...a total of 41 signatures in all. no Republicans. not all of the Democrats. compare that to the condemnation of moveon.org for their "General Betray-Us" ad, which got 70+ votes in a senate resolution, which this silly letter by Reid and this whole stupid "controversy" was ginned up in an attempt at "equalization". sorry, senator...this was lame. LAME.
it just goes to show the lengths to which some people will go to quell free speech.
anyway, though, the CEO of ClearChannel gave this letter to Rush, and Rush has decided to
auction it off on e-bay (the most recent bid i saw was $5600.00), and he has vowed to match the winning bid, and is calling on all the Democratic senators who signed the letter to match it as well...with proceeds going to the Marine Corps--Law Enforcement Foundation (provides scholarship assistance to children of Marines or federal law enforcement officials killed in duty to their country). the e-bay link has the letter, plus the signatures for your enjoyment.
