dan rather, who will perhaps be best remembered for trying to pass off fake documents as "hard evidence" that Pres. Bush went AWOL during a national guard stint...in an effort to affect the 2004 election, and was subsequently FIRED from his anchor post at CBS News (most likely because of his abysmally low ratings), has come out to BASH Katie Couric (video link).
the ratings for CBS actually rose when Bob Schiffer took over after Rather's dismissal, but have fallen dramatically with Katie at the healm.
