hillary!'s campaign theme song contest

on her website, "hillary for president" is in the final stages of choosing a theme song for the campaign. i have to admit, when the clinton/gore '92 campaign chose "Don't Stop", that hooked me, and i moved completely away from Perot. i can remember back when reagan's theme was tammy wynette's "Stand By Your Man"...that was a good one as well (though it didn't work on me then..).

looking at the "final round" of contenders, if i were a supporter of hers, i would probably choose "ain't no stopping us now" by mcfadden and whitehead. that's GOOD STUFF. but, alas, i'm not a supporter, and when i hear her say things like how she wants to change the country from a "you're on your own" society to a "we're all in this together" society, this concerns me, because her chances of becoming president are pretty damn good. her desire to provide "universal health care" (which would put our health in the clutches of political tug-of-wars), and her desire to jam kids into government-run schools at younger and younger ages, among other distasteful proposals...this stuff should be called exactly what it is: marxism. her "it takes a village"-mentality is exactly what karl marx preached (he saw the family as an oppressive construct of the capitalists). marx also called for the "abolition of private property" (which includes money, btw...hillary wants to take money from "the rich"--get rid of the "bush tax cuts"--to pay for the health care of all).

pretty typical stuff for a democrat, i know. but where ex-President Clinton tended to stick his finger in the air and govern from the most politically advantageous position, hillary is much more of a "true believer".

therefore, my vote for her campaign's theme song is...(drum roll please)

"the internationale". the billy bragg version, preferably.
